    311000 - Noah Wallace PTO - Track Meet Fundraiser

    This exciting event is designed to be a fun introduction to the sport of Track & Field. Events will focus on running, jumping and throwing skills and will be modified for age, safety and FUN! All ages 5 - 13 are welcomed.

    Our day will start with learning stations where children are taught the basics of each event. Each station will culminate in a mini-competition where participants can try out their new skills!

    This event is sponsored by the Noah Wallace PTO in cooperation with Farmington Recreation. Proceeds from the event will go to the Noah Wallace PTO to fund school initiatives and educational programs.

    Event Location: Farmington High School Track

    Per Connecticut General Statutes, programs that service children ages 7 - 19 who engage in an athletic activity such as an organized game or competition against another team or in preparation for a game or competition or who attend an athletic camp or clinic in which the purpose is to train, instruct, or prepare the participant to engage in an organized athletic game or competition to provide a written or electronic statement on the signs and symptoms of concussions to each athlete and parent/guardian upon registration.     321410 - MPower Boys Running

    Finishing a 5K is an impressive achievement at any age. Imagine the sense of accomplishment and pride your son will feel when he crosses the finish line of Jamie's Run in Old Wethersfield on November 3! MPower Boys Running will prepare him to do just that. Modeled after popular Couch-to-5K plans, MPower’s training program is designed for all levels of runners: from very beginners to experienced racers. We will concentrate on proper form and pacing while we build endurance over the weeks through a combination of running drills, games and core strength exercises. Race registration is not included in the program fee and is not required to participate in this great program!

    321420 - Girls in Stride

    Imagine the thrill your daughter will feel as she crosses the finish line in her first race. This non-competitive training program is designed for all levels of runners. Help your daughter gain confidence, build self-esteem, and lead her to a path of health and fitness. Focus will be on using games and drills that make running fun, while also improving athletic performance for those who play other sports. As part of the program, the girls will be exposed to goal setting, journaling of training, nutrition, and mental preparation. This dynamite training program will prepare your daughter for Jamie’s Run in Old Wethersfield on Sunday, November 3! Race registration is not included in the program fee and is not required to participate in this great program!

    331410 - Run for the Health of It! - Adults

    Envision the excitement you’ll feel as you cross the finish line of Jamie's Run in Old Wethersfield on Sunday, November 3! This motivational training program is designed for all levels of adult runners. Gain confidence and pride and run with Farmington Recreation for the Health of It! Focus will be on warm-ups, plyometric drills and stretches that make running fun, while also improving your athletic performance. In case of inclement weather, please contact Farmington Recreation at 860.675.2540.

    The race is not required to participate in the program. Race registration is not included in the program fee.

    Program will meet at the New Britain Avenue/Oakridge Parking Lot.
